Send Hunger Packing runs events throughout the year in West Windsor-Plainsboro to raise funds and bring awareness to our cause.

This year's theme of International Yoga Day is - "Yoga at home & Yoga with Family". Please join us from your home with your family and practice Yoga and Laughter Yoga together with everybody as one!
SHuP/Mercer Street Friends(501c3) - Send Hunger Packing has provided weekend meals to insecure children since 2017. The Little Free Pantry provides food 24/7 in a pantry open to all located in WW. “Take what you need, give what you can.” Both are programs of Mercer Street Friends.
Covid Courage/SoHA(501c3) has distributed over 7000 N95 masks during these challenging times and is continuing to help the community through their relentless efforts.
Poonam & Pradeep Gupta , founders of Let's Do Yoga, have been teaching Yoga for over 20 years. They began conducting virtual yoga classes to help people cope with these stressful times of Covid-19.

Saturday, May 2nd, 2020: Marathi Vishwa Concert
A shout out to the Marathi Vishwa organization!
Another community organization, the Marathi Vishwa, has contributed its time, energy and generosity to help those in our community. We applaud your work and demonstration of care toward others.
The Marathi Vishwa organization which held a fund raising concert last Saturday, May 2, 2020 hosted by Shriller Kedar Naphade. The Marathi Vishwa organization was incorporated in 1978 to promote Marathi language and culture. Started with six families, the organization now has over 650 families as members.
The concert was an interactive instrumental concert in which Shri Kedar Naphade played short classical tunes and songs – Bhajans, Ghazals, Natya Sangeet and movie songs based on Raags.
The funds raised were matched 100% by Marathi Vishwa and will be donated to The Little Free Pantry of West Windsor. The Little Free Pantry is located on Alexander Road in the parking lot of the West Windsor Arts Council one block from the Princeton Junction train station-it is open to ANYONE 24/7. "Take what you need, give what you can."
We understand that $3,500.00 was raised. THANK YOU TO ALL INVOLVED!
Saturday, May 2nd, 2020: Nach Nation Bollywood Dance Event
THANK YOU TO NACH NATION!
Thank you to Uma Kapoor of Nach Nation for hosting a wonderful Bollywood Dance event last Saturday, May 2, 2020. The event had over 30 participants dancing virtually. The event raised $425.00 in donations to Mercer Street Friends’ Little Free Pantry program. The Little Free Pantry is located in the parking lot of the West Windsor Art’s Council and is open to ANYONE 24/7. “Take what you need, leave what you can.”
We applaud the generosity and kindness of the dancing donors whose community spirit serve as a model to us all! And kudos to Uma Karmakar Kapoor of Nach Nation for organizing the event. Nach Nation offers Bollywood fusion dance classes for children and adults.
Monday, January 20th, 2020: MLK Day of Service
From all the members of the Send Hunger Packing West Windsor-Plainsboro (SHuP WW-P) team and the Mercer Street Friends Not for Profit that SHuP WW-P works with, we send a “THANK YOU” to our community partners-the West Windsor Arts Center, the West Windsor Human Relations Council, Mayor Marathe, the African American Parent Support Group, Boy Scout Troop 40, the Girl Scouts, the Joyful Gratitude Group, Dr. Shah and his team from COE-the center for Orthodontic Excellence in West Windsor and McCaffrey’s who both before and on January, 20, 2020 made MLK Day a success. And a shout out to the presenters, Dr. Smith, Dr. Fenster, and Vaishnavi Vednere, a student poet.
And to all and everyone who came out to support Send Hunger Packing WW-P and the other organizations-RISE, Crochet for a Cause, and TASK- a heartfelt thank you. West Windsor has shown it is, as Dr. King asked for, “ a caring community.” The work done for the children and others yesterday-MLK Day- will have lasting affect and do good for months. May Dr. King's memory be for a blessing.
